In order to access library databases and other library resources from off campus, you’ll have to navigate to them through the library’s website. This is due to the library’s authentication system (called a proxy server); as required by our licensing agreements, we have to make sure you’re a member of our RIC community before providing you with off campus access to our materials. To obtain access, make sure to start at our homepage, and log in to your RIC account where it says “Library/ILL account”, underneath the main search bar. Once you’re authenticated, you’ll be able to navigate to your desired resource through our databases or the catalog.
Still having issues? If you cannot login to the library databases from off campus, and you have not reset your password in a while, you may need to reset your RIC password here: https://servicecenter.ric.edu/TDClient/1794/Portal/KB/ArticleDet?ID=147239
This will reset your password for all your RIC logins (Email, Blackboard, MyRIC Portal, etc). However, it should fix the login issue with the library databases.
